The epic plane wreck on the black beach in South Iceland

The year was 1973 when a United States Navy DC plane crashed on the black beach at Sólheimasandur, in the South Coast of Iceland. Despite running out of fuel, the passengers and crew of the plane were fortunate enough to survive. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the pilot had simply switched to the wrong fuel tank. To this day, the plane's remains can still be seen on the sand, a testament to the power of human perseverance.

Inspired by this plane wreck, a watch has been designed to bring to life some of the features of this aircraft. It serves as a reminder that even in the face of adversity, we have the strength to rise above and create something beautiful.
